ACCREDITATION:

The Master of Library Science (MLS) program at the School of Library and Information Sciences at North Carolina Central University is accredited by the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation, with the status of Continued accreditation. The next comprehensive review visit is scheduled for Fall 2024. The MLS program has maintained its accreditation since 1974.

The NCCU School of Library and Information Sciences offers a course of study leading to the ALA-accredited Master of Library Science degree (MLS) with a concentration in one of six tracks: academic librarian; archives and records manager; law librarian; public librarian; school media coordinator; and special librarian.
