Condolences for Dr Debra Saunders-White: Visionary Chancellor Leading Digital Transformation in Higher Education

On behalf of the School of Library and Information Sciences, I offer our condolence for the loss of Dr. Debra Saunders-White. Dr. Saunders-White inspired all of us with her courageous battle with cancer. As the eleventh chancellor of NCCU, Dr. Saunders-White was a visionary chancellor living each day touching the lives of students through the digital transformation of higher education. Dr. Saunders-White championed innovation through creative integration of information technology in higher education.  Dr. Saunders-White led path-breaking strategies to make sure that universities stay ahead of the digital divide with transformative investments in Internet access and connectivity as well as opening spaces for students for computer-driven innovation, design and fabrication. May God bless Dr. Saunders-White’s family, the NCCU community, and all those whose life she touched.
