The main purpose of the The NCCU SLA Student Chapter  is to provide a forum for the networking and career development.  Developing these skills and relationships that will enable students to have a creative impact on their profession as well as provide employment and scholarship opportunities.

Activities sponsored by the organization include:

• guest speakers
• field trips and library tours
• and social events

Membership in the NCCU Student Chapter is free. However, we strongly encourage members to join the national Special Libraries Association (SLA). To join, simply visit the SLA website.

Another valuable resource is the NCSLA Chapter listserv which provides up to day news and events in the surrounding area. To join the listserv, simply follow the  instructions on the NC Chapter Website.
