Scholarship Opportuity-The Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature Scholarships

The Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature is pleased to announce two new funded programs. With gifts from an anonymous donor, the Center will award two Research Fellowships to support scholars from outside the Fresno/Clovis area engaged in graduate-level, post-doctoral, and independent research. The Fellowships have been created in an effort to encourage innovative and robust inquiry into the varied aspects of children’s literature. Proposals will be chosen by committee and based on significance to the study of children’s literature, likelihood of publication or other dissemination of the work, and relevance of the project to the Center’s holdings. Acknowledgement of the Center in all published or otherwise disseminated material is required. Stipends up to $2000 will be awarded this fall to those who meet the given criteria. More information can be found on the Center’s website: www.arnenixoncenter.org/research/fellowships

Internships at the EPA Library

Below are announcements for internships at the US Environmental Protection Agency Library in Research Triangle Park, NC. We are recruiting for the 2016-2017 academic year. We have two types of internships available. The first is the traditional library science internship where students rotate through different areas of the library. The second is geared towards LIS or IS students with some programming skills and an interest in science information.

Please note that a science background is not required for either of these internships. The EPA Library internship is excellent preparation for many types of library and information jobs and our former interns work in all kinds of libraries.

NCCU students can apply for these positions by visiting the following links:
