Certificate in Health Informatics (21 hours)
The NCCU- SLIS Certificate in Health Informatics is a 21-credit hour program of study that provides preparation to become part of the emerging industry of electronic medicine and digital records. Students learn about big data analytics and healthcare management of systems and patients. They obtain the basics about the fields of biomedicine and clinical information science. Students grow doing projects about artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, decision systems, robots, and big data analytics. The program can be completed within 12-18 months while participating in research and systems development projects.
The course of study is made up of 3 core courses and 4 electives:

Elective Courses. Students take 4 courses in one of these specializations: Systems Applications, Interface Design and Usability, and Electronic Database Retrieval. The courses to choose from include:
