Welcome Dean Jon Gant!

The School of Library and Information Sciences is delighted to welcome Dean John Gant to NCCU!  Dean Gant joins the SLIS after serving as a leader in teaching, research and service at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign since 2007.  Please join us in welcoming him to a great year!

New Student Orientation!

On Friday, August 12th, two orientations will take place to introduce you to the campus:
 Graduate Studies (GS) from 8:30am – 12pm, Taylor Education Building: 
 Learn more about administrative processes and have any questions concerning admissions, graduate assistantships, and campus programs answered.
 School of Library and Information Sciences (SLIS) from 12:30pm – 2:30pm, James E. Shepard Library, 3rd Floor, Room 337: 
 Meet the Dean, learn more information about the program, meet your advisors, and mingle with fellow students.
 Please respond by email to kbaile45@NCCU.EDU with GS or SLIS to RSVP to one or both orientations. 

Admissions Deadlines for SLIS

Soar to the top! Join the Masters program students in information science and library science for an MIS or MLS degree. We offer several concentrations as well as dual degrees in MBA/MIS and JD/MLS with the NCCU Schools of Business and Law.
