LAC Federal is seeking a Senior Research Associate (Curator) to provide strategic leadership and management of federal digital library and repository focusing on international aid and development as well as supporting areas. The Associate will lead a team of digital librarians, metadata specialists, and other supporting staff in developing a secure, trustworthy data/information environment consisting of multiple digital repositories and some physical assets. The Associate will be responsible for total lifecycle management of the repositories and will collaborate with contract and federal staff in moving toward a trusted digital repository that meets or exceeds OAIS and other standards for data curation and preservation. Work will be performed on-site at the client’s location in Washington DC. This is a full-time contract, benefited position.

The Durham County Library is currently seeking a Library Youth Partnership Coordinator. It is a part-time position, based at Durham County Library’s MakerLab at Northgate Mall. The Library Youth Partnership Coordinator has the opportunity to work with teens, the Library Youth Partners, to develop storytime programs for elementary students. The Coordinator then travels with the Library Youth Partners to perform the programs at different elementary schools and organizations in the community, usually twice a week.

Required Qualifications: An ALA-accredited master’s degree and a second master’s (or doctoral) degree in a field relevant to the University curriculum; Demonstrated strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills; Evidence of extensive knowledge about library technical service operations, trends, and best practices; A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible academic library employment, including supervisory and administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Front-line experience working in at least one core area of library technical services; experience with budgeting; experience working with the Voyager System; work experience with diverse populations.
