Students,

This message relates to scholarships that the Association of North Carolina Health and Science Libraries (ANCHASL) is offering to support an upcoming meeting.
If you are planning to attend the ANCHASL 2017 Spring Meeting and workshop entitled “Needle in a Haystack: Finding Data Insights, Where to Start?” on Friday, June 9 in Wilson, NC, please consider applying for one of the scholarships being offered by the ANCHASL Scholarship Committee.
Meeting details are listed below and also at http://www.anchasl.org/.
The Board has authorized the Scholarship Committee to award up to four scholarships for this meeting and workshop. The award will cover your registration and part of your travel expenses. Recipients with a short commute will receive an award of $75. In order to encourage participation by those members living more than 90 miles from the meeting location, an additional $100 will be made available to them for travel costs, for an award amount of $175.

To be eligible, you must live or work in North Carolina (or be a student enrolled in a library program located in NC) and be a member of ANCHASL.  Not an ANCHASL member?  Don’t let that stop you! Join now!
For more information, consult the ANCHASL membership page at http://www.anchasl.org/member.shtml.

An application form for the meeting is attached below and is also available on the ANCHASL Scholarship Committee Web site, in case the attachments get stripped from this e-mail message. Complete and return the form to me, Carol Vreeland.
