New Vacancy – Authorities Metadata and Cataloging Librarian

The Authorities/Identities Metadata and Cataloging Librarian is a tenure track library faculty position in the Cataloging and Discovery Services (CatDS) Department. A key responsibility of the position is providing leadership in developing and applying best practices and international standards for the management of names metadata not only within the libraries but also in other contexts across campus. The successful candidate will, as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, pioneer the development of a program to assist university researchers in navigating ontology development and identity management, forging new collaborations and relationships that extend the Libraries’ capacity to support the University’s interdisciplinary research.
